Yes. Reduce bulk-order risk by approving the product before production starts and by setting check points during production.
For a custom jacket order, the practical sequence is to approve the tech pack, fabric and trim swatches, a complete pre-production sample, and written measurements before cutting bulk fabric. Then request production updates and use a defined pre-shipment inspection standard before the balance is released.
Bulk jacket risk-control checklist
Lock the specification
Confirm style drawings, graded measurements, seam and pocket details, shell, lining, insulation, color references, logo placement, labels, packaging, and acceptable measurement tolerances in one revision-controlled tech pack.
Approve physical materials
Check fabric weight and hand feel, color under appropriate lighting, zipper and snap quality, embroidery or print tests, and wash or care requirements. Written approval of swatches prevents a bulk order from relying on photos alone.
Approve a finished sample
Fit the complete jacket on the intended size block and inspect construction, insulation distribution, symmetry, trim placement, and artwork. Record every change before the factory begins bulk cutting.
Set production checkpoints
Ask for dated production photos and measurements at agreed stages, then compare them with the approved sample. For higher-value orders, an independent pre-shipment inspection adds a separate final verification step.
Example approval sequence
- Approve the tech pack and materials.
- Approve the sample after fit and measurement review.
- Confirm the pre-production sample as the bulk reference.
- Review in-process evidence against that reference.
- Inspect finished cartons before final shipment release.
Important: Production photos are useful evidence, but they do not replace checking the actual sample, measurement points, workmanship, and final quantity requirements.
What to send before requesting a quote
Provide a tech pack or clear reference photos, target quantity by size and color, fabric and trim preferences, decoration artwork, packaging needs, delivery destination, and the date the goods must be ready. Clear inputs make sampling and quality control more reliable.
