From a Mud-Walled Home to a Streetwear Supply Partner
Chanjoye was founded in 2016 by Hardy, who grew up in rural China and learned this industry one stitch at a time. This is the story behind the factory, and the standards it still runs on today.
Where It All Started
Hardy was born in the countryside, where adobe houses and mud walls were the whole backdrop of his childhood. His family was poor, so poor that meat appeared on the table only at Lunar New Year, and a decent set of clothes was patched and mended until it could be worn no more.
His father spent his days bent over the fields, scraping a living out of the soil, while his mother's hands were cracked and calloused from heavy labor. Watching them, he understood early what hard work costs, and what it is for.
The First Time He Touched a Sewing Machine
As the middle school textbooks grew thinner and thinner with use, the burden on the family grew heavier. He hung his schoolbag back on the wall, not because he did not want to study, but because the family could no longer afford it. The day he boarded the bus out of his village there was no diploma, no connections and no safety net waiting for him, only a few crumpled notes in his pocket and a refusal to accept that a person's life is already decided.
The first time he touched a sewing machine, his eyes lit up. He started as an apprentice and kept the pedal moving even when his hands were numb with cold. When a needle drew blood, he wiped it off and went on stitching. He volunteered for the night shifts other people avoided and quietly took on the jobs others found too dirty or too tiring.
At his lowest point he could not pay rent and slept on the workshop floor, covering himself with unfinished fabric to stay warm. There were nights he nearly quit, sitting by the roadside and asking himself how much longer he could hold on. Then he would touch the fabric in his hands, think of his parents still working the fields a thousand miles away, grit his teeth and stand up again.
The Company Is Founded
None of those years were wasted. From a young man with nothing to the founder of a garment manufacturer, there was no natural talent and no shortcut, only the steady progress earned one stitch at a time.
In 2016 he founded the company that became Chanjoye. The conviction he carried into it has not changed since: where you come from does not decide your future, and the absence of a formal education cannot cage a mind that refuses to stop learning.
A Decade Focused on U.S. and European Streetwear
More than a decade in this industry taught Chanjoye to step away from undifferentiated, mass-market production and concentrate on men's streetwear for U.S. and European brands. Years spent studying overseas trend aesthetics, fit systems, craft standards and market shifts produced a clear view of where good brands get stuck.
Traditional factories run orders. They do not study trends, brands, or the small details that make a garment feel right. That gap is exactly why Chanjoye positioned itself as a source manufacturer that understands design, trends, quality and brand growth.
One-Stop Development and Production
Chanjoye builds across the styles that define the category: U.S. and European high street, American retro, technical and functional, and light-luxury streetwear.
For global streetwear brands we cover the full path, from original development, visual and graphic design, pattern and fit customization, rapid sampling and precise production through to full-chain quality control. One team, one accountable process, from the first sketch to the sealed carton.
The Core Value We Deliver
Four problems Chanjoye was built to solve for streetwear brands
Original development instead of stock styles
A trend development team tracks U.S. and European market direction and turns it into original styles and graphic design matched to your brand positioning, so your range rests on its own product line rather than generic inventory.
Fits that are correct for the market
Our pattern work lives inside the U.S. and European menswear fit system. Silhouettes, lengths and measurement proportions are re-tuned, and category processes such as washing and distressing, bleaching, heavy prints and vintage finishing are applied until a design idea becomes a garment that reads correctly abroad.
Quality that holds from batch to batch
Streetwear gets its own standardized quality system, with inspection checkpoints from fabric received at the warehouse through cutting, sewing and print or wash, to finished goods leaving the line, so every shipment stays consistent and your reputation is protected.
A supply chain that moves at your speed
Trial runs, fast sampling and flexible revisions are supported, balancing small-batch innovation with volume production, a fit for new brands starting from zero and for established brands scaling a proven line.
The principle is simple. A brand should not have to burn budget learning through trial and error. Keep your focus on operations and market growth, and leave the rest to us.
What Chanjoye Is Building Toward
In real manufacturing, the short term is measured in profit and the long term is measured by what you enable and what you build together.
Chanjoye did not set out to be a workshop that simply takes processing orders. The intent was to combine years of trend development capability with genuine manufacturing strength: to help emerging streetwear brands start from zero and grow beyond their first ceiling, and to help established brands harden their product barriers and step onto the international stage.
Looking ahead, we will keep going deeper into U.S. and European streetwear menswear and keep iterating on design, craft and quality control. Hold the craftsmanship standard, keep developing original product, and back it with a professional supply chain. That is how Chanjoye intends to become the most dependable, longest-standing and most trusted partner for global streetwear brands, growing with them over years rather than seasons.
Where you come from does not decide your future. Keep learning, keep building.
